If you're the owner of a webcam created by Singaporean company Creative, then you're like eligible to use this software. Creative Live! Cam Center is a free video capture utility that allows you to use your webcam.
The main application isn't very much to write home about in terms of advanced features, though it does allow you to capture video from your connected Creative devices or take snapshots and save them as JPEG files.
Creative Live! Cam Center has three main panels inside the user interface: Video Recording, Photo Capture and My Recordings. Apart from that, there aren't that many settings available for it.
Video capture formats
In terms of video capture, this Creative app allows you to save videos in a couple of different formats (AVI and WMV) and apply different levels of compression to them. These can be chosen based on quality and file size.
In terms of video capture, the program only supports JPG and BMP, so you're not going to be creating any type of raw formats. One option available for photo capture is the addition of timestamps to saved images.
